Highrise buildings might dominate the skyline of Honolulu but it's the warm sea and sandy beaches that are the real draw to this pleasant city, the Hawaiian Islands' capital.
This mission house is 150 years old, but very well-preserved, well-preserved enough to retain most of its old furniture. The home was built with a kind of hybrid architecture and that furniture is Hawaiian rather than New England like its inhabitants. This sets the Waioli Mission House apart from many of the other (very New England) mission houses.
